POST CARE FOR TATTOO REMOVAL
Don’t know what to do after having your tattoo removed? Here are some important POST CARE instructions for you!
Even though Tattoo removal doesn’t damage the deep layers of skin, your skin after the treatment will be weaker.
Around 2-3 days post-treatment is the period where your skin is most sensitive, even the smallest triggers can make your skin irritated and uncomfortable.
Therefore, after you do our Tattoo Removal Treatment, regardless of how intense your treatment is, you still need to follow our post-care instructions:
Try not to let water soak into the treated areas.
Do not scratch off the treated area. Let it peel off on its own.
Do not use any drugs or eat any allergy prone foods
Avoid dirt & bacteria near your treated area.
After your treatment, swelling and peeling is expected within the first 8-72 hours.
Post-Care Right After Your Treatment
Please remember to use a prescription or strong ointment such as Neosporin, or any over-the-counter scar treatment products. Apply 3 times/day and try to keep the treated area as dry as possible.
Your skin tends to peel off for 1 to 2 weeks.
Don’t worry when you get blisters. Blisters tend to show up 8 hours after your laser treatment and might continue for 4 to 6 days.
Blisters and peel-offs are totally normal after a Tattoo removal Treatment.Let the scab fall off naturally.Scratching off your scab too soon might lead to irritation, which can leave you with scars or even change your skin color.
If you experience unbearable itch or severe irritation after your treatment, you can take Tylenol and use an ice pack every hour for 5 to 10 minutes right after your treatment.
Use sunscreen to protect your treated area for at least 3 months after your treatment. Do not use body lotion with fragrance as it might irritate your treated area.
You are allowed to get contact with water after 02 hours. However, we recommend that you do not let water with strong pulses touch the newly treated skin. You should also avoid swimming or soaking in a hot tub or tub until the scabs and blisters have healed. These waters contain a lot of bacteria that can cause infection and scarring.
FAQs
-
During the laser treatment, your skin will likely turn a frosty white color, this is called frosting. This is due to the release of carbon dioxide as the laser beam penetrates the skin's surface, similar to a layer of white frost.
A few hours after treatment, your skin may start to peel and swell, often taking 3-14 days to subside. These side effects are entirely normal and may occur because your body is rapidly trying to heal itself, causing the outermost layer of damaged skin to peel off.
After a few days, all physical effects usually begin to subside. Now, you will play a waiting game as your body removes the ink pigments properly, a process that usually takes 6-12 weeks. Only after this time, laser treatment can be performed again.

Scarring is a common concern with the laser tattoo removal process. Fortunately, the cases of scarring are very minimal, occurring in less than 2% of laser removal cases. Typically, when scarring does occur, it is light and can be minimized with Vitamin E oil and silicone scar patches, as long as your skin is fully healed after laser treatment.
If you plan on getting a new tattoo in the future once your tattoo is fully healed, make sure you plan it carefully.
REMEMBER that laser tattoo removal is very expensive and time-consuming

No, ideally the tattoo should not be exposed to sunlight for at least 6 weeks. For the laser tattoo removal process to be effective, the skin color needs to be natural and healthy. This will give us the best chance of removing your tattoo in the shortest possible time. If you have a dark sunburn, you may have to try to fade it several times and may have some post-treatment issues.

Exposure to ultraviolet rays from the sun increases the production of vitamin D and melanin in our bodies. Vitamin D can help us absorb things like calcium and iron, enhance our metabolism, and regulate our immune system. However, in reality, it is melanin that absorbs radiation and makes our skin turn brown. However, an increase in melanin pigmentation in the skin can make you more susceptible to sunburn. Therefore, when it comes to laser tattoo removal, your skin may not be healthy and not able to protect itself.

With an increased level of melanin in your skin, laser removal technology will have a harder time breaking down the pigment. Although we use the highest-performance single-pulse laser machine, it usually takes only 4-8 sessions to remove a tattoo, but for sun-damaged skin with high melanin concentrations, laser treatment is hindered from breaking down ink molecules. Don't worry, this ink won't stay in your blood for long and will eventually be expelled through your pores and bodily excretions. Some fake tans contain activating agents that can react with laser treatment and lead to skin pigmentation. Therefore, do not use fake tans at least 2 weeks before or after treatment.
TIPS FOR YOU
GET ENOUGH SLEEP
Lack of sleep has a negative impact on the immune system, making us less able to fight off bacteria and more susceptible to infections. Some people need more sleep than others, but seven hours a night is considered ideal. Less than six, and your immune system may begin to be affected.
ACCELERATE YOUR TATTOO REMOVAL JOURNEY BY KEEPING YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM STRONG
For many people, tattoos are a part of their personal story that they do not want to change. However, we may not always make the right choices. The idea of laser tattoo removal may seem daunting, but if approached correctly, the process does not have to be that way. In fact, your body reacts to treatment by working with the laser beam to help expedite the process.
The laser beam penetrates through the top layer of your skin, breaking up the ink. As the ink particles become smaller, your body's immune system targets and destroys them using special white blood cells called macrophages. This is where your body needs your help.
ENOUGH WATER
Your immune system needs proper hydration to function effectively, but water can also help speed up the tattoo removal process in many different ways. It boosts your kidney function, allowing them to eliminate toxins such as degraded ink faster. It also helps produce blood, which carries your white blood cells throughout your body, allowing them to break down foreign objects and remove toxins from your blood. Additionally, water helps keep your skin in good condition. Skin, like all other organs in your body, needs proper hydration to function at its best. The better your skin condition, the more effective the laser treatment will be.
BOOST YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM
Some types of foods contain properties that help boost your immune system. Oats and barley contain a type of fiber called beta-glucan, which has high antioxidant properties and helps accelerate the healing process of wounds. Almonds are an amazing source of Vitamin E, which is essential for a healthy immune system.
OUR RECOMMENDATIONS:
After going through the laser tattoo removal process, you may feel a bit uncomfortable with the aftercare. However, following the advice you provided is necessary if you want to speed up the healing process. Within 48 hours of treatment, it's important to avoid anything that could irritate the treated area, such as tight clothing, moisturizer, makeup, or perfume. Try to keep the treated area cool and dry, so avoid exposing the treated area to sunlight, hot water, steam or swimming. Obviously, don't scratch or shave the treated area, as this can cause irritation. Another important thing is to be cautious in all of these areas until all swelling subsides and your skin has completely healed.
KEEP YOUR SCHEDULES
This sounds very clear, but treatment will be more effective if you maintain regular treatment sessions. Missing appointments will naturally slow down the tattoo removal process. However, there should not be sessions that are too close together after this session. Six to eight weeks once is the optimal time to wait between treatment sessions, as this allows your body time to break down and excrete the ink particles as well as time for your skin to fully recover before the next treatment.
