What is Barbie Tox


Barbie Botox, also known as Trapezius Botox, is a term used when people get Botox injections in their trapezius muscles. But what are trapezius muscles, and why would someone do this?

Your trapezius muscles, often called 'traps,' are the triangle-shaped muscles that run from your neck to your shoulders. They help you lift and lower your shoulders, which is something you do when you shrug or move your shoulders up and down.

We will break down the most common questions about one of our favorite treatments that gives an elongated, regal , soft neck and shoulder line that is perfect for summer dresses and off the shoulder tops.

How does botox in the trapezius muscle work?

Barbie Botox is done using, you guessed it, Botox! The procedure is speedy, almost painless, and it's gaining more and more fans.

Here's how it works:

  • We inject Botox into the trapezius muscle with a tiny needle.

  • Botox makes the muscle relax, and a few weeks after the treatment, you'll notice the area getting a bit smaller and less bulky.

  • The end result? Your neck looks longer, and that sometimes bulky-looking neck and shoulder area becomes softer.

How does Barbie Botox last ? 

Generally, Botox results stick around for about three months. However, for treatments like masseter Botox, used for teeth clenching, or Trapezius Botox, the effects last for roughly six months. Here's why: it takes a bit for the muscle to relax initially, and when the Botox wears off at around three months, it takes time to kick back in. As a recommendation, we often suggest a follow-up at the six-month mark because it tends to extend the longevity of the next Botox round. Think of it like the stereo analogy—keeping that volume turned down for even longer.
